Since 2007, Doodle Pictures has specialized in creating amazing art and animation across a vast array of media. We have the talent needed to make imagination come to life through ink, paper drawings, story boards, world-class 3D animations and images, and game/app development. Each team member brings his or her individual expertise to the drawing board, culminating in the perfect storm of artistic integrity. Our artists' experiences run the gambit from AAA game titles like the Call of Duty franchise and Civ City to JumpStart Explorers and Rescue Heroes, all the way to TV and the big screen with Terra Nova and Snow White and the Huntsman.
Thanks to a larger team of dedicated professionals, both in-house and at remote locations, Doodle Pictures is able to expand at a moment’s notice to handle larger and more varied projects. Our greater network includes artists, programmers, and independent developers, all with stellar artistic pedigrees. The Doodle Pictures core team is made up of the remarkable individuals listed below.
With the uncanny ability to troubleshoot any and every technical problem presented to him, Richard is commonly referred to as "guru." He’s also one of the studio's most experienced animators and riggers, having worked in TV, film, and web on projects including Terra Nova, Snow White and the Huntsman, Reign of the Dinosaurs (Discovery Channel), and numerous LEGO shorts. His love, though, is in games; he has worked on more than 40 AAA titles, including Call of Duty 2 (Xbox 360, PS3 & PC), Dungeon Hero (Xbox , PS3 & PC), CivCity Rome (PC), Fight Club (PS2 & XBox), Eek the Cat (Super Nintendo), Cheesy (PS1), and Sleepwalker (Commodore Amiga). Richard’s expertise in programming (M.E.L, C/C++ , C#, Java, and even 68000 machine code) has helped to propel Doodle Pictures to new heights, and opened many new doors for the studio.
As a talented, multifaceted artist, Dan serves as both a lead lighter and technical director for our LEGO Star Wars web shorts. We have Dan to thank for the final polish on all our projects. His more than five years of experience also includes game development for the iPhone and iPad in Unity, working on titles like DreamWorks Megamind (iOS, art assets) and Koala Krush (iOS match 3 game, Unity game code with AI). Dan also runs CGSociety.org lighting challenges on a bi-monthly basis.
