With the uncanny ability to troubleshoot any and every technical problem presented to him, Richard is commonly referred to as "guru." He's also one of the studio's most experienced animators and riggers, having worked in TV, film, and web on projects including Terra Nova, Snow White and the Huntsman, Reign of the Dinosaurs (Discovery Channel), and numerous LEGO shorts. His love, though, is in games; he has worked on more than 40 AAA titles, including Call of Duty 2, Dungeon Hero, CivCity Rome, Fight Club, Eek the Cat, Cheesy, and Sleepwalker. Richard's expertise in programming (M.E.L, C/C++ , C#, Java, and even 68000 machine code) has helped to propel Doodle Pictures to new heights, and opened many new doors for the studio.
As a talented, multifaceted artist, Dan serves as both a lead lighter and technical director for our LEGO Star Wars web shorts. We have Dan to thank for the final polish on all our projects. His more than seven years of experience also includes game development for the iPhone and iPad in Unity, working on titles like DreamWorks Megamind (iOS, art assets) and Koala Krush (iOS match 3 game, Unity game code with AI).
JP has amassed quite a list of titles in his 19+ years of animation. Having animated on shows like Little Bill and Wonderpets, JP brings a great sense of humor and timing to his animations that enhances all of his work, be it traditional or digital animation. In his years with Doodle Pictures, he has taken over the direction of the animation department and ensures that our animation product is always of superior quality.
Chris has been creating print art and animation professionally for more than eight years. He has accumulated expertise in Flash animation, print production painting, comics, commercial storyboards and animation, and effects in Maya. Chris is also an exceptional voice actor who has voiced many characters for the studio and clients on numerous LEGO animated shorts, presentations, Scholastics e-books, and announcer-style voice-over reads.
An expert in both environmental and character modeling, Joe has worked on many projects including animated TV pilots and shorts, webisodes, and Flash game sets. In his more than five years of set and character modeling, he has consistently brought a depth of style to all his art that breathes life into his compositions. With a portfolio full of Legoland statues, print ads, and web animations ranging from Aladdin's genie to the planet Alderaan, Joe is a versatile and talented asset to Doodle Pictures.
Bob has ten years invested in the music and film industry. He studied Film Scoring and Audio Post Production for Film and TV at Berklee College of Music, and has assisted dialogue editing and sound design in a few horror films including Infected and Self Storage. He also served as the dialogue editor and part-time sound designer for an NBC Sprout morning cartoon, Astroblast, before coming to Doodle Pictures.
Since graduating RIT with a degree in Film and Animation, Neil has been animating in the video game and cartoon industry for over 8 years. Getting his start in LA, he lent his animation and coding talents to such AAA titles as Red Dead Redemption, Assassin's Creed: Unity, and Star Wars: Kinect, among many others. Following that stint, he moved to the east coast to pursue work in the cartoon industry, to better make use of his knowledge of cinema and story telling, where his true passion lie. Besides his work on the Star Wars LEGO shorts, he has also animated on the YouTube Red Kings of Atlantis show.
